Acier JP Inc. was founded in 1991.
In the beginning, the owner, René Perreault, traveled with his gear throughout the region, offering his services at scheduled industry stoppages.
Over the years, his client list grew and the increased needs of sawmills presented an opportunity for the manufacturing of equipment.
In 1996, the first 7,200 square foot building was constructed to house a manufacturing facility and the administrative offices.
As the years went by, the needs kept increasing and in 2000, another 10,000 square foot building was required to house a paint shop and a factory. In 2006-2007, an extension was added to the welding shop and a new plasma cutting table was installed.
The year 2000 also saw them sign an agreement with Linden Fabricating of Prince George, British Columbia for the sale and fabrication of log handling and synchronization equipment (log loaders, step loaders, etc.) for all of Eastern Canada.
Subsequently, Les Aciers J.P. Inc. (J.P. Steel Inc.) differentiated themselves from the competition by bringing two new and exclusive products to the market, the self-cleaning rotary sorter, and the mobile rotary log debarker.
We are currently working on numerous projects with U.S. companies for the manufacture of conveyors, structures and other equipment built to their specifications.
The agricultural sector is also a focus of Mr. René Perreault. Numerous types of new equipment are set to hit the market shortly.
The strength of a company such as ours lies in a number of areas: The quality of our human capital, the constant drive for innovation and the support offered by our administrative staff. These are the reasons why Les Aciers J.P. Inc. differs from the others.
